Strangely Sunny April Days

Image
Beautiful sunny April days! Sunrise Sundown Kitties: Flowers The last of the daffodiles An expensive bouquet of tulips that I hadn't gotten around to tossing, but the vase!  The decorated vase! And this one. Even my indoor plants are blooming. I have so enjoyed these marsh marigolds in my water garden. I cooked lots of food and fed lots of people last week. Garage sale season is here!  I bought a cozy quilt and I found these vintage sheets in Queen size.  Ordinarily, I don't like to buy used sheets but I couldn't resist these because they are the exact same fabric of the sheets that I had as a little girl.   Me at work Phil at work I dug out some baby toys from the dry room for Giavanna and Glorielle begged to get out the kitchen toys. We bought a little bistro style table for the entry way.  I can use it as a standing desk. So, date night...we decided last minute to grab some take out.  I got a burger, Phil got Vietnamese and we both got a bubble tea....

Visit with Alec's Family

This post is a baby cuteness overload! Alec and his family came from Wisconsin for the week to attend 2 different weddings.  We spent the week hosting them and getting to know his girlfriend Makenzi and their daughter Giavanna. Their flight came in on a Friday and after they settled in to their hotel, they came here for dinner. Saturday was a busy day!  The girls had craft class in the morning.  In the afternoon, we watched the 4 older Mulkey children and Giavanna for the afternoon while Nate worked, Michelle attended a conference, and Alec and Makenzi went to the first wedding.      I think Phil and I spend most of the day going up and down the stairs.  We wised up after that and made a blockade for the next babysitting time LOL. 18 month olds are exhausting!  We forget how busy they are and we aren't set up for the baby lifestyle anymore. Sunday, we had a big family dinner over at my parents and ate outside on the patio. Monday was our long day ...
