Little B

Image
Can't believe he is 3 weeks old already! The fourth has been the easiest transition by far. Four under five is tough but we are blessed with the challenge of having four young children. We take it day by day and are thankful that God's mercies are new every morning!

And then there were four! Evi loves shoes! Big, little, backwards, anyway they come! Playing in a fort Sometimes babys just need to cry! Sawyer did great! He held him for quite awhile and didn't mind the screaming.

Using our big vocabulary

Sissy:  Daddy, what are we going to do after we wake up from our naps (get up in the morning). Daddy:  Well, Daddy has to go to work. Sissy:  I don't like it when you go to work.  Why do you have to go to work? Daddy:  I have to teach all the kids how to do math and help them learn. Sissy:  I think the kids know all the games now Daddy, so you can just stay home tomorrow. Sawyer:  That's a good hypothesis Sissy, but the students have to learn stuff.

Update

I don't have any pictures to share because we disconnected the internet connection to our other computer (where I do picture downloads).  The weekend before Phil went back to work, I decided a major change was needed in terms of our living space.  So...we rearranged everything and did a thorough clean.  We made a more formal dining area by moving the hutch and a bookcase and get this, cutting 4 inches off the legs of our table and chairs.  The table (which was a counter height) now doesn't look so big and invasive.  The living room looks much smaller.  We have a really weird lay out for our house.  It is basically a large square with a half wall dividing the kitchen from the rest of the space.  There are 2 big french doors at either in and the t.v. is "built" into the wall.  It is wonderfully open and children friendly but requires some creativity in furniture arrangement. We are in the process of decluttering and are tackling the playroom fi...

Welcome to our family!!!!

We are so blessed to have Brighton finally here! He is amazing and we are all 'over the moon for him'! I just can't stop kissing his perfect little face and smelling his wonderful new baby smell!! Here is his birth story: I woke up Saturday morning sometime after 2:00 a.m. feeling those Braxton Hicks (or so I thought) again. Since I had experienced this for 3 weeks running, I didn't think much about them except that they were quite close together and getting a little more painful. I decided to get up and get into a warm bath which always helps. It didn't so I thought, well, I will call the midwife just in case. She was already at the hospital assisting in a C-section and suggested I come up. I fully expected to be sent home and since Phil couldn't leave until someone arrived to watch the children, I drove myself. This was very amusing to the nurses! (I am only 2 miles away!) I drove up and waited in a "overflow" waiting room until the midwife...

BEAUTIFUL rashy face

Image
Poor Brighton was a little overcooked and came out quite "peely". The new skin underneath is lovely but unfortunately, all the nursing made quite a little rash around his mouth and he scratched his face a couple of times as well. I let is be for a a few days and now lube him up with straight shea butter. It is looking much better! Oh, and isn't he THE CUTEST!
