My Two Babies

Image
While the older three children were finishing up their lunch, I decided to take a moment to photograph my two babies.  One, a big 20 month old who is quickly turning into a toddler boy, the other, a 7 week old, who is no longer a newborn. Chubby face smiles! Double chins on babies are delicious! Posing! The babies side by side. Give her lovies B! What a handsome boy. Uh oh, whatcha thinkin' about B? Hmmmm, I have seen this look before... Yup, there is no mistaking this face? I smell something... Ahhhhh......success. Thanks for participating in my photography session B!!

Snicker snicker!

First Day!

Image
Today was the first day of homeschooling here at Lamplight Academy! Despite a bit of a rocky start, (which was me getting up early to have my quiet devotional time and 3 children waking up within 5 minutes of me getting out of bed), school went really well.  I was organized and well planned which is the key for me being successful.  The house was thoroughly cleaned the night before so I wasn't distracted by a mess.  The days meals were planned. Here is my view from the rocking chair.  The children are having free time while I feed the baby. Here is my other view.  This is a self portrait.  I call it Mother and Feeding baby. The start of school.  The older 3 are ready to start on their workbooks.  Brighton is doing a mat time (has to stay on his blanket and play with the toys I give him).  Glorielle is watching the action. Phil started back to work full time last week.  We stayed close to home and worked on getting ourselves into a routine.  These 12-17 hour days (away games, early Bible study) are sure long!  We do ok until about 4:00 and then the evening hours seem really really long and we are ready for Daddy/Husband to be home.  Next week starts the regular school year for all of us including the start of our homeschooling year (more to come on this subject). Sweet little frog legs! Hiding from Mommy! Cuddling with various and assorted "creatures" Table top forts More good places to hide - this was a very popular game! Making placemats
