The end of Spring Break

Spring Break is essentially over. I am so sad! It has been really nice having Phil home. We have done a lot this past week. Phil worked for a friend from church doing a labor exchange. He is building a shop and Paul is making a wardrobe system for our room. My MIL, Tracy , came for a visit last Sunday (and didn’t stay nearly long enough). We always love having her down and wish she lived closer! Phil built a retaining wall and prepped our backyard for a patio. We had planned to pour the concrete but the weather didn't cooperate. We had snow, hail, sun, and wind. I planted a few new plants (starts from my mom) and got 3 quilt blocks sewed. The older two had a MMR vaccination and Evie had a basic check up where she weighed in at over 15 pounds (99 th percentile) and 24 inches long (87 th percentile). I had my final therapy massage. I went to a mom's night out group with a few ladies from church (Phil and the kids had dinner at my parents so he was with...

Manic Monday

Manic Monday…remember that song? I thought of it several times on Monday. Some days are just so crazy. Monday is always my shopping day. We head out between nursings and get all the groceries for the week. We had somewhat of a late start and were half way to the store when Jubilee started throwing up. There wasn’t much I could do for her but turn around and go back home. If it wasn’t so gross, it would have been comical. Sawyer was gagging and after the initial tears she just sat there looking so forlorn. I put on a Bob the Builder for Sawyer and put Evie in the swing and then went out to wrestle Sissy out of the car seat without flinging barf everywhere. It was no easy task. I got her cleaned up and wrapped in a blanket on the chair and she promptly fell asleep. Back out to the car for more barf duty armed with Bac Out and a shish kabob skewer. Why oh why aren’t buckles and front straps barf proof? There are so many little compartments for the nastys to ge...

What is going on at the Kelly household?

Could it be? Yes, it is an update!!! Events and Happenings… I am still going to the chiropractor weekly. I can tell that I am healing because getting aligned isn’t nearly as painful and there is a huge decrease in the number of pops! I took the kids to the zoo last Thursday. Outings are always “interesting” with 3 little ones. I am most comfortable at home so it was actually a big deal for me to drive up to Portland and do a big outing alone. It started out a little rough (took the wrong exit, Sawyer got pee on himself, Sissy fell down, Evie was VERY upset about being in a stroller) but ended up being fine. Adventures are so much more fun with Phil!! My quilting class went off with out a hitch. I will admit looking in my rear view mirror as I pulled into the parking lot. As you may recall, this is when and where I was rear ended last month. Gardening… Whenever I can find a few minutes out in the garden to weed and mulch, I take advantage o...
