Goodby April

Image
Goodby to April... Trying to find time to read. Phil helping girls do backflips. Still trying to find a church.  The kids loved Athey Creek but it is a mega church, kind of impersonal, and a very long drive. Kitties Stocking up on canning jars.  You can't find lids and these wide mouth quarts go fast.  Phil keeps going back to the store for more cases. Trying to do school. This is the sweetest picture! I was inspired enough to start drying herbs.  I did quite a bit last year but did very little with them. Someone got a hold of my camera and I discovered this selfie when I was downloading pictures. The world continues to be insane.  This is how I feel every time I read the latest news story.

Mice ate the seeds, twice.  Having weekends disrupted with teen activities left things sitting outside waiting to be planted. The duc...

Garden in Bloom

Image
Despite the lack of rain, the garden burst into bloom!  My mini irises are such a delight and they are earlier then the standard ones so I get to enjoy a good month of blooms! Phil bought me two hanging fuchsias. I planted 2 new roses. There is enough variety of growing weeds and leftover daffodils for a lovely apology bouquet. Mixed bouquets are back!  Mint, lupine, irises, borage, and a few early stocks.

So thankful for long sunny days, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, green fields, and the mustard cover crops.
