5 Little Kellys ready to start trick or treating.  OOOOOHHHHHHHH!  Excitement over every piece of candy.    She has had one lollipop in her young years and remembers it well.  And they are off.  GIVE ME MY CANDY BUCKET BACK!  (Getting strapped into the carseat for the ride home.) Monster/Dinosaur/Dragon Dragon  Ghost  Ninja  Cow....and also...GIVE ME MY CANDY BACK!  (What she did for a good 10 minutes waiting for the dinner to get served.) I made mummy dogs for dinner....some were better looking than others LOL!  As I was eating, I remembered that I forgot to add all the leavening ingredients to the dough.  Oh well, they were fun anyway.  We didn't eat until 7:00! Presenting the surprise dinner!  Waiting and hoping for trick or treaters to arrive on our doorstop.  I think we only had 3 groups come.

I was a tad bit nervous because I had never used a spinning wheel before and had no idea how to operate one. ...

I was telling a friend that one of the challenges of my busy life homeschooling with little ones is that I don't do as much "fun" stuff as I would like with the children.  I envisioned my weeks filled with nature walks, field trips, baking, arts and crafts, homeschooling mostly through thematic units, and making a big deal out of every holiday with cooking and decorations.  I find adventures exciting and exploring such a great way to learn.  Then I met reality...I discovered that I can't fit 48 hours of activities into a 24 hour day.  I discovered that dishes and laundry and meals and clutter clean and vacuuming take up HOURS every day.  I discovered that balancing babies and toddlers with homeschooling is a juggling act.  I discovered that homeschooling is nothing like teaching in a classroom.  I discovered that having children is exhausting!   I discovered that my ideals are completely unrealistic! So, with all that being said, I was d...
