February on the Homefront
The last month of Winter arrived and with it longer days and the earliest of the perennials just starting to peek through the dirt and the promise of Spring to come. Yay!
I have enjoyed the hot tub so much! I often soak in the afternoon and enjoy quiet time. I don't think it will get much use once the weather warms up (I actually don't like to use it if it is sunny) but it is a therapeutic indulgence when it is cool and overcast.
We celebrated my Dad's birthday! I don't know why it is so difficult to find times to gather as family. Busy lives, going in different directions, and teenagers make finding an evening together a challenge. There is a series I once watched on tv where the family, 4 generations, gathered every Sunday for an evening meal.

Yes, cat pictures...
I finished my "harbour crochet along" blanket. I have to say, I didn't love every minute of it LOL. It isn't my favorite stitch and dk yarn makes for slow going stitches and a little "fussier" crochet. The assignments took a good 10 hours a week so I felt like I was racing the clock a bit. Plus, I had covid in the middle of it and I felt icky for 2 weeks. With that said, I would definitely do another crochet along and I am already looking forward to it. It was good accountably and I had a brand new blanket done in 2 months which was very satisfying since it usually takes me years of repetitive picking up and putting away.
I liked the colors so much and I thought it would be quick and easy and that I would have time to do two at once so I ordered a second yarn pack. HA! I could barely get the weekly assignment done. But, as soon as I finished the boarder, I was on to the next blanket. I love the same colors but completely different style. I have to make 111 squares ( 11 rows of 11) and it is equally slow going. I am about half way through.
Arm wrestling after class LOL.
