Trillium Lake

I had to drag the family to Trillium Lake.  The girls had a sleepover with friends but I so wanted to get out on the water and have a day out.  I chose Trillium Lake because of the beautiful pictures that I had seen.  It turns out the lake is actually very small and very crowded but beautiful non the less and a lovely drive up into the mountains. Once I got the boys out on the water it was fun and relaxing for all!  Phil napped in his kayak, Sawyer fished, Brighton explored the shore line, and I vowed to take a sketchbook and a good book on all future outings LOL.  There was a trail around the lake that would have been really nice to hike on but a section of it was blocked off for repairs.  I decided that I would really like to try snowshoeing this Winter and it would be a perfect place to go!

Yes, we turned around so I could take a pictures of this mailbox!

We drove up to Timberline lodge.

Brighton wanted to touch the mountain.

A rare thing indeed to have children fall asleep in the car.
