One More Month of Winter

Just one more month until it is officially the month of Spring!  It has been such a wet miserable winter and I have so wanted to be out in my greenhouse starting seeds and preparing my early spring garden.  Well, that isn't happening since it is too wet to rototill and therefore too wet to put up the greenhouse.  I had a calendar set up and all my seeds (both flower and vegetable) purchased and categorized with the idea that I would start a few things in January and a whole bunch of things in February.  It is hard not to get discouraged because I can't even prep the ground outside or start my seeds in cell packs on heat mats inside.

A few breaks in the rain...

Signs of Spring

Evi prepared for me a tasty fruit treat.

Farm vans...hauling hay, animal feed, children, farm animals, etc....

Homeschool Mondays

Kitties, now infested with fleas that are biting me and the children...sigh...I don't even know where they would get fleas.  They are inside cats.

The coyotes have gotten very brazen.  They are coming right up to the neighbor's back yard.  That is too close for comfort since we have cats and ducks. Phil is ready to eliminate the threat.

Days at Phil's work and getting PE credits in the gym.

Hmm, may need to work on piano posture.

Phil put up these curtains in front of the closet.  It does really help to not see the mess crammed in there.

Phil took the older 2 on a ski trip with friends.  Jubilee skied for the first time and Sawyer snowboarded for the second time.  I wish this was cheaper and easier to make into a hobby.  They had such a good time.

We celebrated Phil's 47th birthday!  His gift from me was an envelope for every hour of the day (8 to 8) with slips of paper that totaled up to 47 things that I love about him.  His gift from our house was a broken faucet that leaked under the sink and through the flooring.... He had to stop by the store on the way home for replacements and I had to finish cooking his dinner using water from the bathtub.

We really need to get a better selection of candles.  Here we have 481 which is 48-1=47.  Jubilee made his favorite dessert, tiramisu.  (Excuse the mess...we had no water in the kitchen to clean up!)
