Seaside

Despite the "world" going into lockdown, we still went on our girl's weekend out!  My friend Michelle organized this for her daughter's 13th birthday.  It was the two of us and 6 girls (2 Mulkey girls, 2 Roger girls, and 2 Kelly girls) on a coast adventure.  We had an amazing time and I am so very blessed for the this group of homeschooling girls and our time together and my time spent with Michelle.

Laughter and singing worship songs!  (No make up, no phones, no boy crazy talk...this is the sweetness that I love about the church/homeschool community we morph together).

Beach fun!

Shopping

Clearly, I had a momentary "Coronavirus impulse buy, emergency stock up, moment".  I NEVER buy candy....and yet, I spent 35 dollars on Jelly Bellys and Taffy.  I still don't know what happened...

Tide pool fun!

I am so very thankful for this weekend.  It was a step away from the chaos of government restrictions and shut down.  It was a fun time to spend with my girls and their friends.  It was a blessing to be inspired by Michelle and her parenting strengths.  It was refreshing to have time to spend with "my friend".  Even though their were sweet girls around, I felt like I had my friendship cup filled.  The weather was beautiful, the fellowship was sweet, the friendships were lovely, the focus on the Lord was intentional.  I loved it!
