It feels like Fall
Rain, rain, rain! The clover dies back in the summer heat and we had a few days of drizzle and I noticed little white spikes all over the yard. Today, they had leafed out and there were tiny little clovers spreading like a green mist over the dirt patches and dry grass.
Often times in the morning, the early light is silver, particularly in the Winter. We had a few beautiful golden mornings this week.
The making of golden mist.
There is something about this little valley where the storms funnel through and we get amazing rainbows.
The outdoor lighting is up. This is dusk, after the sun had gone down and the last of the light was fading. It is going to be so amazing when the garden fills in and we clean up all the junk (like the illuminated wheelbarrow and shovel handle LOL).
I saw the droplets on this leaf outside my bedroom window so I grabbed my camera, put on my muck boots, and took a few macro pictures before the sun even came up.
Poor Phil! It was a long 2 weeks. He was going to go to work early. I keep telling myself that I need to make sure I capture Phil and his sleeping habits LOL. The other night, I woke up (as insomniacs do) and his feet were on the pillow and his head was at the foot of the bed.
Since when do I live in a world where dogs are allowed on the table?
Ducklings through the screen.
At the end of the day. Sometimes I am just too tuckered out to even worry about the clean up.
A view I rarely capture, this is the driveway and our temporary fence to attempt to keep the neighbor dogs from charging the fence line and barking at us. It isn't really working but it is better than it was.
I spontaneously bought myself a little treat on facebook marketplace. I sometimes look on marketplace and pinterest for decorating ideas mostly just for fun and daydreaming. I have wanted to change over my eclectic travel decor to eclectic country/farmhouse decor even before we moved. This is an old dry sink counter where people would keep a basin and pitcher for washing up before indoor plumbing. The door at the bottom was for a chamber pot. I loved the hardwear and age of it. The lady had just posted it and she lived in Turner not even 20 minutes away on the backroads so I sent her a message telling her I was interested. Good thing to because she told me there were 3 other people in line after me. Sawyer and I went over this morning and picked it up. She was a very nice lady, living alone (I presume) in a cute little house for the past 40 years with her 50 year old parrot. She had gone on ebay and found the latch and replaced one of the hardware pieces that was missing a handle. She had also repaired the back where one of the panels had been damaged. She cared very much for the integrity of the piece (I didn't tell her I was tempted to paint it bright yellow.)
The lamp is a little ridiculous on it but I don't have time to gussy it up too much. I just placed it where I imagined it going (replacing a shorter wider table) and put the stuff on the table on the top.
