I think we are mosly done!

Piano recitals, Science class party, planning for next year, 95 degree weather...I do believe we are mostly done with this school year!  The children are finishing up their history projects and working on math and we have one more music class and then we are officially done.

Beautiful weather...until it was 95 for a couple of days, that is way too hot!

I poured through the Adelman Peony farm catalogue and enjoyed the peony bouquet on the table so much that Phil went to the farm on his way home and bought just "a few" more.

These popped up overnight.

With the hot weather, Phil stayed up late in the evenings working on the watering system.

Cool summer evening are a delight!

We are still hatching ducks!!  We are on week 5 1/2 and I still have 3 eggs left in the incubator.  We (mother duck and incubator) have hatched out 7 eggs so far.  I candled the last 3 last night and we saw movement in all of them.  Not sure what to do with all these ducks!  I have our original 7, then the 5 additional ones I impulsively bought at Wilco, and now all these babies.

Brighton decided that he was going catch a duck everyday until it loves him.

Last science class!  Tracie put on a wonderful party with learning, games, activities.  It is a nice way to end this season of science.  Next year, we will be focusing on high school science with a different group of older children.

Making clay frogs

Going over the chapters we read.

Eating with friends...the girls.

...the boys

All these cute little frogs.

Painting t-shirts with marine creatures (what we have been studying) and glow in the dark paint.

Sawyer filling water balloons for the balloon toss.

Making tin can lanterns.

We had our piano recital and finished this year's lessons.  The children look so serious LOL!

Uggg, an entire day (and then some) spent cleaning out dressers and updating the summer wardrobe.  The children were squeezed into last year's hot weather clothing so as much as I dreaded it, it had to be done!

Clothes for trash or donate and a chart so I knew who needed what.

The used clothing store, 3 hours, 5 children, 1 dressing room, 3 item limit....but mostly done and less than 200 spent!

I tried to convince Sawyer to get this, he wouldn't.

But he suggested this for me.

And wanted a handsome blazer.

Home to take off labels and wash new clothes.

And the disaster in my room, waiting for sorting and folding.  Uggg!
