Flock and Fiber Festival Part 2

Today was Flock and Fiber Festival shopping day.  I wandered through the inside and outside vendor booths (no list this year) looking for treasures that I can use either for crochet or felting.  I am pretty well stocked since I haven't been felting much but I did buy some foundational white roving, a few skeins of yarn, and some embelishments for detail work in my felt paintings.  I also bought myself a new basket "purse" since the one I bought several years ago has worn out.

It is so much fun to see all the beautiful colors, feel all the wonderful textures, and get inspired by seeing so many projects!

Monster crochet hook.

Boxes and boxes of yarn!

This was my favorite little treasure find!  This gal masterfully figured out the art of making beautiful crochet rugs and she graciously shared with me the process.  It is totally something that I can do and best part is that it uses all kinds of yarn so I can upcycle cheap acrylics and make these fantastic colorful rugs.

I love yarn made with locks.  These are core spun and I am wanting to dust off my spinning wheel and make some.

This don't show how large these were but they were huge, 2 pound balls of yarn.

Crocodile stitch gloves

Weaving wall hangings.

Rainbows of needle felting wool.

After shopping, I like to visit the gallery:

Then, it is out to the barns to visit the fiber animals.  How great are these boys!
