This and That in the New Year

We eased back into the norm with a 4 day week and no outside obligations and I appreciated the slow start.  Week 2 was back in full force with science club and piano lessons on Monday.  Basketball duty for Phil on Tuesday.  We all went, even me.  I told him I was desperate enough to spend time with him that I was willing to go to a high school basketball game.  I am not sure I went to those even when I was in high school.  It was fun though and we got a car ride in and back and got to sit together.  Awanas on Wednesday.  Art lessons on Thursday.  Today is a free day, meaning we get to just stay home.

As always, beautiful views.  It was overcast and raining quite a bit so these are just some glimpses between storms.

Another rainbow right in our yard!

Science club at the Mulkey's house learning about moss and lichens.

Jubilee could not be happier!

6 little boys ages 6-8 running around, they also could not be happier.  Incidentally, I am not sure I could have been a mother of sextuplet boys and lived to tell the tale!

A break in the clouds meant a run down the driveway before heading out to art class.

Abraham charged the fence and broke down the gate to be with the ladies.  He was particularly interested in Ma.  I called Phil and he got someone to cover his lunch duty.  In the meantime, the children took turns making sure Abraham had no romantic encounters.  He then got a little aggressive so I had to stand out there with a large stick.  We did not plan on Spring babies but we may be too late as I am not sure how long he was in there before we noticed.

We found the perfect light for the boy's room at Ikea and Phil got it installed.  You can choose closed or open or variations in between.  Fun!

Camo (or all black) day at Awanas.  Evi won the prize for best costume.  She had on camo pants, a camo shirt, and fir branches in her hair with camo make up.

Crafting
Jubilee makes tons of bags.  She doesn't really have a pattern, just cuts and sews.  We got one of those wooden dolls on a stand that you can position (often used in drawing classes) and she has been making clothes for that.

Modeling clay

I got some art time too.  I put together this felt painting Wednesday night.

And tweaked with it Thursday.

Hoping to get a chance to finish it over the weekend.  I posted it on facebook and had someone that wanted to buy it.  Hopefully, it will turn out after the felting and stitching.  Sometimes it doesn't and the prefelting stage is always so beautiful.
