October Ending

After such nasty weather last week, the beautiful warm Fall days this week were especially wonderful.  It was really hard to homeschool (which I am often doing until 3 or 4) when I just wanted to be outside soaking in the sun.  We have a couple more days of sun in the forecast and then back to rain.

Early golden morning

Last week's storm took down most of the trees along this driveway (we drive past it regularly) but a few trees were holding on.

We had several mornings of fog.

I walked down the driveway last night to take some sunset pictures.

And walking back home

A trailer load of dirt in the morning light.  I had every intention of unloading all of this myself but children interruption and the slow going of heavy dirt made Phil have to step in and help.

Phil hauled several more trailer loads of dirt over the course of a couple more evenings this week.  More on this soon!

I took the children to get Halloween Costumes.  We will go to the Trunk or Treat event at my parent's church.  The boys were very excited to wear their costumes.

"I have to do Darth Vader's dirty work."

Captain America feeds the dogs.

This was a special treat that I indulged in this week.  Attic 24 (my favorite crochet blog) had a link to a pattern and some modification to get the two toned look to make these little pumpkin gourds.

What on Earth?  A hearse with a hot dog strapped to the top?  Downtown (where we take art classes) offers a lot of sights that are so very different to our small town country living.
