Could this be the place we call home?

We met with the inspector today to do a walk through of the house and determine what needs to be fixed and upgraded before refinancing can be done.  Everything was what we expected except for two things. We need an electrician to come through and check the wiring and the panels.  We need to create a firewall between the house and the garage. (We had planned to insulate the garage anyway which will suffice for fire protection.)

We got our well inspected as well this morning.  We have a ton of water (30-40 gallons per minute) but may need to put an ultra violet light in for sanitation.  The pump is fine.

In theory, we have 3 days to withdraw our offer since the inspection has been done.  We will be asking for an addendum to the contract that allows for an electrician to come in and evaluate.  We don't want any hidden expenses since we have a limited budget.

We have a nice long driveway so we are well off the main road, here is our section (the other part is shared with the neighbor house).

Parking in front of the house.

Out front

There are two entrances to the house, one through the garage and one up the stairs.  The deck needs to be replaced so it can't be walked on.

We are thinking we may cut the deck in half and make it go all along the side of the house.  This will allow more light into the basement/first floor level.  I will definitely go with the most inconspicuous railing.  Likely just cable line in posts.  I don't want the lovely view blocked either by a big deck or by showy railings or even deck furniture.  I think a patio down below with picnic tables and chairs would be lovely.

This is the view from the door upstairs.

This is right by the barn.  The first fence on the right is the property line all the way down to the trees.

This is the middle of the property looking out over what would likely be beautiful gardens (barn is in the background and the property line is right behind it). The shed in the middle will have to go.

The tree in the middle marks the corner of the property.

Big field on the left....

....that goes all the way to the road.
Both sides of this green run (I think the realtor said they had planned to make it a driveway) are big fields.  This may be about the middle of the entire property.

This is the orchard.

I did take inside pictures but I think I will share the "befores" once the current owners move out.  That way, I can give an accurate picture of what the bones of the house look like without the distraction of their boxes and storage areas.
