Snow Walk

It took over an hour to bundle everyone up for a snow walk through our little town.  We have a 2 1/2 mile route that takes us off the main road, along the creek, to the park, downtown, and back home along the main road.  There was snow and frozen rain for most of the walk and most of my pictures from the snow weekend have been rather dark and drab.  I much prefer sunlight with the a bright blue sky to contrast with shadows and show depth and dimension.

This is main road that runs out of town, South.  Normally, this is a busy street with cars traveling 45 miles per hour.  It actually makes me a little nervous to walk along because there are no sidewalks and most drivers don't even slow down for children.

Looking away, toward the Falls

We don't have snow weather clothing.  I was nice and toasty but I bought these boots (warm, and able to lace up over double socks) when I was once willing to suffer wearing wedges and chunky heels...no longer, give me comfortable, arch supporting shoes.

Burrowing in the snow (what a dork)

Look how deep the snow is!

Anytown, USA...doesn't this look like a lovely street right out of the 50's.  I love my town.

Another tiny park as you come into downtown.  The footbridge crosses the creek and puts us right near our favorite ice cream shop.  During the warmer months of the year, a little Farmer's Market is set up here.

(If you look to the left of the light, you will see a red circle in the tree.  LOL, must be a disc frisbee that I didn't notice until I was uploading the pictures)

Our house is the blue one...this side hasn't gotten painted LOL.

Another snowing picture.
