Snow at Home

I am sure this will go down in history as the "Big Storm of 2014".  I remember a snow storm before we had children, and one when the two oldest were little, but I think this may be the most snow we have ever had.  Most years, we don't have any accumulation so 6 inches...especially of very dry powder, was quite the winter storm.  Even as I type this, there is a constant dripping, as the temperatures have warmed up and rain has begun to fall...the snow is fading away.

Our home, nestled in the hillside at the forest edge.

Looking down our road, the tree line is just past Silver Creek.

Looking up our road, our house is on the corner.
You can see, that we really live in a tree lined ravine.  It does protect our home from wind and puts us in a bit of a warm pocket, but the morning sun takes a long time to shine in our yard.

Evi, who suffers the same affliction as Phil...the inability to keep one's eyes open at the threat of a flash.

The children were constantly rolling in the snow, eating snow, and throwing snow.  What fun it is to play in the snow!

We don't have a sled so Sis is pushing Sawyer on a garbage lid.
