Around the Campground

This was the loveliest campground!  We got two sites right next to each other.  Ours was probably the worst in the campground because it was small and completely in the sun (and also showed the starry skies) but the shallow stream ran right next to it and the ripply water made a beautiful background noise, especially at night.  My parents had the shadier site next to ours where we set up camp for food and fire.

Every campground needs a bandit

Sleepy baby who didn't nap the day prior and woke up at 5:30 in the morning.  She did really well however!  She fell asleep with only a minimal amount of crying, woke up just once an hour or two later (on both nights) and then slept through the night.  She napped at the campground (just not in the car) and slept in until 8:30 the second day.

Exploring the campground

The campground has two sections to it.  We stayed in the first section (to the left of the bridge in the background).  We explored the other camp sites on foot while Phil and the other children took the stream route.

Climbing trees

It was so nice to sit down in the cool shade, watch the children play, and crochet!

Reading in our campsite right at the water's edge.
