Stormy November
My oh my we had a lovely weekend! Just hanging out at home. No big lists, no obligations. No pressure, stress. Lovely! We actually got a lot done! The week before was unpleasasnt and there was some sort of intestinal bug that worked its way through the family. Poor Glorielle got the worst of it at both ends.
Rain rain rain....pitter pattering on the skylights all weekend long and today, delightful noise from soft whispers to drums!!

Brighton loves to get into the middle of the shot.

It was rainy and dark so early that 3:30 literally looked like dusk today and the street lamps were already on. I took a picture of these rain splattered squash hybrids that are decorating our front porch.
Outside, the only thing still pretty is the fish pond.
Everything else has died or lost its leaves or is slumped over by the pounding rain. I didn't get to the clean up (again!!) this Fall otherwise I would be looking at weeded, clean out beds, and neatly planted cover crops from the windows. Maybe next year...
Speaking of, I am already dreaming of the Spring. Planting, plans for more color and annuals, more vertical gardens. I love garden dreaming and pinteresting plans!
