What a ghastly day!

What a wet soggy miserable kind of day!  It has been drizzling or pouring rain since I woke up this morning.   The sky is dark and the air is chilly even though it isn't technically that cold out.  I woke up with a headache and if I was familiar with migraines, I might call this one.  My head hurts.  I feel a tad nauseous and I am having light and noise (especially) sensitivities.  However, the show must go on!

Rain pouring off the valley of the roof...

...and splattering all over the porch.

The view from the back door during the heaviest of the rainfall in the noon hour.

After getting the children settled down for rest time.  I vacuumed up the dog hair, mopped up the puddles on the floor, arranged the lovely daffodils I picked at my parents when I stopped by to get eggs and bread earlier today, and took some pictures of the Saint Patrick's Day decorations.

I have turned the little shelf between the kitchen and dining area into my seasonal display area.  I have so enjoyed making it a place of creativity and it has really inspired me to keep the table clear and decorated and the kitchen counter cleaned off.

Gram kept spices in these jars.  They are perfect for St. Patrick's Day vases!

I have so been enjoying fresh flowers in the house!

I splurged and spent 7.50 at Wilco on some plants that I can later plant in the garden.
