Saint Patrick's Day Weekend

Glorielle had outgrown her co-sleeper.  Brighton's play and pack was too small.  I thought if I just ignored the need for new beds it would go away!  What started with an email (sent to me)...ended up with opportunity and a weekend of cleaning and rearranging.  We got a new crib and mattress and loaned out one of our twin mattresses and so we had to tackle the sleeping arrangements.  We decided to make a boy's room and a girl's room.  We knew this would happen eventually.  The children took it better than I thought (they love sharing a room).  I am a little sad...it is the end of an era.  Separating them makes them seem so...big.  Brighton switched to a regular bed and Glorielle graduated to a crib.

We were then forced to deal with the room that had become the staging area for Goodwill items and bags of outgrown clothes that needed to be sorted and put into totes in the garage.  What a task!  We worked for two days and it still isn't put back in order.  But, the rooms are rearranged.  A Goodwill trip was made.  Bedding and lots of laundry has been washed.  And the pile of "go throughs" is dwindling.

Saturday morning.  Ack!  What a mess!

Super sweetness.  I had to fight back tears as I packed up the co-sleeper.  She isn't a tiny new baby anymore.   I am so blessed that I have had the privilege of putting 5 sweet little babies in this co-sleeper.  I hope there are more to come!

I had planned some fun activities for Saint Patrick's Day but because we ended up with a big cleaning project, I just did green meals.

Enjoying breakfast cookies with coconut cream green frosting and green milk.

Green eggs and salad and green tea.

Pesto, crunchy Kale crispies, salad.

Ta Da....

The boys room.  The couch is tucked back under the loft.

The girl's room.

Our room with the new crib set up.  I didn't especially enjoy the long walk to the crib several times last night!   I much prefer her right next to the bed.  Too bad there isn't room!
