Our Long Week!
I haven't blogged in quite awhile because I haven't had a moment to sit down and write!
Here is a recap of our busy busy week! Ironically, all 4 children had colds! There were also 3 appointments (chiropractor and a midwife appointment that I drove to at the wrong location) thrown in the mix.
**Thursday (June 16th) was Phil's last day of work. He came home a bit early so I could go to a homeschooling curriculum fair. We then went down along the Willamette River for a little hike.
**Friday, Phil had to go back in to work for meetings and some final clean up.
**Saturday, was rainy and I don't think we did much besides housecleaning...the calm before the storm!
**Sunday, church and a Father's Day get together at A and T's.
**Monday, watering hook up in the morning and camping in the evening.
**Tuesday, all day play day with friends up at Silver Creek Falls.
**Wednesday, all day at the job site with Phil. He painted, and the children played!
**Thursday, Phil was at the job site again and I stayed home and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. There was tons of unpacking and laundry to do! It was a bit of a hard day as the reality of one of "my" 4 weeks was slipping by and not one thing on my list had been crossed off. (Phil starts summer school in 4 weeks and the baby is due and we had planned on finishing a few outside projects, doing a major house clean, and giving me a good chunk of time to plan for next year's school year. I really need to be mentally and emotionally focused and ready to tackle football season and a newborn at the same time! This is my nesting and preparing time! We figured this would easily take the entire 4 weeks with some fun days thrown in of course!)
**Friday, we decided last minute to head up to the OCEAN homeschooling conference in Portland. So glad that we did this! If nothing else, we really enjoyed seeing so many people that we have met through the Household of Faith church in Gresham, our new Salem Gospel Fellowship church, and the Above Rubies Retreat that I go to in the Fall! What an encouragement and support to be around fellow homeschooling families! I enjoyed spending most of our time, helping out at the Above Rubies booth.
**Saturday, back up for more conference in the morning, a birthday part in the afternoon, and a train ride with Grandma Tracy in the evening.
**Sunday, church, errands, clean up, and playing all evening outside!
**Monday, today we had dentist appointments and Phil is outside working on the retaining wall. I am updating and resting today courtesy of a lot of uncomfortable Braxton Hicks contractions. I am hoping that this is just an "off" day. I don't have time for this! I have planned on being really miserable the two weeks that I will likely be overdue AFTER all the projects are done.
So that was our week! The dentist asked Jubilee if she was having a good summer and if we had fun plans. She said we hadn't done anything and had stayed inside. WHAT?? LOL!
Children? What did you think of the week? Answers, followed in picture form!
