Weekend Recap

Phil took a much needed "recovery" day on Friday and we spent two beautiful days out in the sunshine working on getting the farm animals out of the house.  The chicks are big and stinky, very stinky, and poor Mr. Carrots has been in a box in the house since November.  We had several late week nights making trips back and forth to Home Depot picking up supplies and retaining wall blocks (one night we ate dinner at 9:00) so we would be ready to take advantage of the clear weather!

Sawyer lost his second front tooth.  Love his gappy smile!

Poor Evi, she fell asleep during dinner.  I didn't have the heart to pull her in for nap time.  She was having too much fun!

The new rabbit cage!

This is not the most updated picture but you get the idea.  Phil extended the outside space to double what it was.  We are taking up another raised bed there in the back (far right) for yard and the new rabbit cage. I am a bit worried that the bed in front (with the cattle guard set up for peas) will be too shady but as soon as that bamboo is dug out, we will be putting in two more big raised beds to make up for it.  We sold the bamboo and have someone coming to dig out the black variety.  We will have about a third of it left (Timber bamboo) that we will sell on Craig's list (hopefully).  We made enough money on the sales to buy the supplies for the new cages/additions and more retaining wall blocks.

We said no to setting up the pool so they went for mud making instead.

Future site of retaining wall beds.  The children will miss their dirt/mud slide I'm sure!  We won't miss the erosion that comes off the hillside and into the duck cage!

Little B was kept entertained by the water plant.  He is finally walking!  He took a few steps on Monday and now toddles around. (Who knew that my second earliest walker would be toward the end of 15 months LOL!)

For some reason, I didn't take any Easter pictures.  We went to church and got home early (around 2:00).  We had a late lunch and some Easter festivities and then a low key quiet afternoon and dinner here at home.  It was nice to relax before starting out the week.
