Catching up
I had lots of bloggable moments over the past couple of weeks but with pictures not showing up and posts being sent to my draft box, I didn't have time to mess with troubleshooting. Now all of the sudden, pictures seems to be downloading correctly again.
I found this little gem at the Goodwill. The flowers are layered for a dimensional look. Someone spent a lot of time making this little lap/baby blanket. The workmanship is high quality as is the yarn. What a bargain for 6.99!

We cleaned out our wine barrel ponds and found this little creature. This is the first salamander I have seen on our little farm. I hope he brings friends!
I was thrilled to get a work day Saturday to tackle the yard last weekend. Phil got me a load of mulch the day before and he took the boys with him to a men's meeting in the morning. The girls and I finished weeding, mulching, transplanting, and putting a heavy layer of horse poop mulch around the side bed. I also cleaned out the "ponds" and transplanted all the water plants. It has been 2 years since I tackled this. Not too bad of a day's work!! Sunday, we did a quick yard clean up and took a load to the dump after church.
Last week's recap: Grandma Tracy came down on Wednesday-Saturday for a visit. Wednesday evening we went to a track meet where Daddy was working the tech program. Thursday was our normal town day with gymnastics and errand running. Friday, I hosted my mom's birthday party with Indian style burritos (chapatis, falafel, yogurt dill sauce, quinoa, fig bars and chai for dessert). It turned out ok, not as delicious as I would have hoped. It was a risky menu to begin with! I was poopered out by the end of the day with housecleaning, homeschooling, and tons of cooking! Saturday, I relaxed and crocheted a bit and Phil helped me set up a crafting corner. Sawyer finally lost his front tooth that had been loose for weeks! Sunday, we had church and fellowship and didn't get home until after 6:00! Whew! The weekend flew by. I need a recovery day LOL!
More to come and perhaps some details when I get a moment! Right now morning dishes, a poopy diaper, and schooling beckon.
