Kelly tidbits
Phil is working on framing doors today. I am SO lucky to have such a handy husband. He can do ANYTHING around the house and can earn extra money here and there doing odd jobs for friends, family, and co-workers.
Allergy season has come on with a vengeance! Phil has been quite miserable. He is really congested and sneezes constantly. He has homeopathic allergy drops but they barely take the edge off. We were forced to get him some over the counter allergy drugs to give him some relief. He does ok if he is inside and the doors and windows are shut.
Jubilee has been wearing big girl underpants! She has gone two days with only one accident. We have been outside so much that she just squatty potties in the grass (with help of course). She saves poop for her nap time diaper so we will have to see how that goes.
Sawyer was up all night with a terrible cough and possible ear infections. (All the kids have been coughing). I went to the store at 10:00 last night because we were out of garlic (who runs out of garlic!!!). I made him garlic/olive oil ear drops and had him eat a minced garlic clove. Honey covered garlic pieces are a sweet and spicy treat! I also had him take some homeopathic ear remedy pills. Phil gave him a dose of Tylenol as well.
Sawyer and I both went into the chiropractors this morning, me for an adjustment and him for his ears. He tested positive for bacteria. All the kids are now taking an Echinacea and elderberry tincture.
My neck and shoulders are so tight (and painful) that Dr. Palmer is having me start therapeutic massages again. I am thinking maybe the Ergo (baby backpack) is causing an inflammation. I don’t wear it often but Evie has become a little more demanding in the evenings so I sometimes wear her while I am finishing dinner. I also have had eczema breakout on my hand so bad that I have to wear cotton gloves and shea butter to TRY and keep my skin from cracking. This has been made worse by all the gardening. I go in Friday for a massage, another adjustment, and to find out what is with my hands.
Evangeline started solid foods yesterday! I changed her last milk poop and almost cried (how weird is that). She ate yams. I am going to have to make double and triple batches of baby food because Jubilee loves to eat baby food with a baby spoon, too. Funny, if I served her mashed yams with dinner she probably wouldn’t eat it.
Outside work is coming along! I got all my plants planted except for the watermelon. I don’t know where to put them yet. I am going to wait until next week to plant seeds because it is suppose to be in the mid nineties Friday through Monday. Phil finished the fence and it looks marvelous. I am moving our water feature to our back patio. I have about 2 more inches to dig down before I can install it. I may have to get Phil’s help on this. Shoveling is really hard on my poor cracked hands.
