Almost labor

I started having Braxton Hicks sometime in the early evening and they were on and off until I got up this morning. It was nothing measurable so I knew it wasn’t labor (my other two started with contractions 2-3 minutes apart from the onset). It made for a long night and little sleep. I finally got up around 2:30 in the morning and had a snack, read, and then fell asleep on the couch. Luckily, both kids slept in late so I got a nice early morning “nap”. Phil stayed home and took care of kids and meals all day. I sat around in the morning and relaxed and then quilted all afternoon. Sitting around is not something that I like to do but it felt really great today.

When Sawyer got up this morning, he announced that the baby was kicking him and it hurt. It was so funny. I thought, “You have no idea…”

Jubilee has gone pee in the potty twice. Ummmhhh, now I have two working on potty training.

My friend Jennipher brought over a nice dinner for us. We were so grateful! What a blessing.

I didn’t have any BH today but Phil decided to take a sick leave day tomorrow as well. Today, the entire freshman class took a field trip WOU and OSU. He decided that being trapped on a bus over an hour away at times was not something that he wanted to risk, just in case. It ended up being a great plan.

I took some Christmas pictures of the kids the other day. Aren’t they so cute!!!

And we're spent!

  1. I love the pictures!!!! The alternate crying was a nice touch. The last one looks like a mug shot.

You've been more ambitious than I have. Your tree is up! We hope to do that today.

  2. Emily- Just want you to know I'm praying for you and your anxiousness! It's no fun waiting around for that little one to come! Just think she'll be here so soon! I love reading your blog and seeing pictures of the kiddos-they are sooo big! Looking forward to hear when this baby comes! Hang in there :) -Amanda Acker
